SF Powder Liquid Mixer — Inline Powder Wet-Out, Developed from the ZX

An inline powder-liquid mixer developed from the ZX. It keeps the pipeline layout but uses fewer rotor-stator stages, a larger pumping capacity, and a guide auger ahead of the rotor to increase thrust — so it draws powder into the liquid stream far more aggressively.

Best for: Wetting powders into a liquid stream continuously — no lumps, and no dust around the operator.

HOW IT WORKS

Inside the SF

One set of rotor and stator — which also generates the vacuum that pulls powder in — a stainless steel hopper for feeding solids, a transmission and a motor. Pipes connect the mixer to your vessel and auxiliary equipment.

The rotor is driven by an ABB or Siemens motor and rotates at 3000 rpm. Liquid is drawn in through the stator inlet into the high shear housing.

Open the valve between the hopper and the mixer and pour the powder into the hopper. The vacuum created by the rotating rotor pulls the powder straight into the mixing zone — the operator is not standing in a cloud of dust.

Centrifugal force drives both solids and liquid into the narrow gap between rotor and stator, where they are pressed and crushed — dispersed, homogenized and emulsified. Product then jets out through the outlet of the housing.

Product returns to the vessel through the circulation pipe. After several passes the powder is completely dispersed and homogenized into the liquid. The SF also works as a transfer pump for discharging finished product.
